The sort of lifeless motion that accompanies the cartoon version of Mark Oliver Everett (aka E) in this video for the Eels' 'End Times' -- intentional or not -- can be viewed as a kind of metaphor for the lyrics. There's a certain isolation implied, accompanied by a definite feeling of loneliness, even detachment. "I don't feel nothing now, not even fear," sings E, "now that end times are here."Pending the actual arrival of end times, 'End Times' the album hits stores and outlets on Tuesday. Watch the video after the jump.

Really like this video. It's great to see Bobby Jr., Knuckels and Koool G Murder.

More wonderful music/lyrics by E....as on this album...and others...there are definite rings of the Fab Four..."Gone Man" could have fit on any Beatles album.
John Lennon would have been damn proud of you E...I hope to see you play live this summer...once you release some tour dates.
Keep rockin' E....

I don't love the video.. But the song makes up for all of that.. Great lyrics and voice.. Hope E makes much more of this stuff....

Brilliant. That voice of his coupled with the melody cannot be beat.
